It's time to start thinking about these....any ideas??? To make it harder next week is Teacher appreciation day...so I need a project to make for that one too...help!!!

luckily, Audre's teacher is a scrapper and she just had a baby 8 weeks ago, so I'm making a 12x12 baby layout and framing it. In kindergarten I made her teacher a shadow box, and last year I altered a box and filled it with her teachers favorite chocolate.

I think its Scrapbooks Ect this month that has some ideas of things you can alter and make some teacher gifts that were cute! I will admit as a teacher I always loved the gift certificates the best, you get sooooo much collectible stuff what can you do with it all? The families would buy us fun gift certificates for lunch some where close. We were ALWAYS going out on our breaks for lunch so it was nice to have a $5 gift certificate for the Wendys, McD's, Taco Bell, Subway, ect.. Another one I REALLY loved was a Cold Stone Creamery or Oberweis Dairy gift certificate to go get some ice cream! YUM!! Oh yeah! I just got an e-mail from I Remeber When with a cute card that holds mini candy bars and a tag for a bottle of water, pop or juice. I can't post a link, but if you want I can e-mail it to you as they are really cute! Oh you could alter a lunch box and fill it with snacks and candy.

From a teacher's perspective - something like a LO or album is always good, or a GC. For Christmas one of the moms in Kyle's class organized for everyone to contribute to a Borders GC and it was great - it was enough that the teacher could really get what she wanted.

ahhh---the beauty of a gift certifcate! I saw a really cute one the other day. It was a clear Starbucks cup (like for the ice mochas) filled with tan and brown paper shreds and then white shreds on the top----then inside was a gift certificate. It had a straw too---really cute.
