Yep did that for 2 hours! With 2 of my kids! And of course they behaved themselves so well....NOT!!!! We picked kid an outfit out for the first day of school then decided we need underwear, and socks, then I some baskets, and a large cookie scoop (great for muffins!), yeah I know totally random. And with no list, well that is where the 2 hours came from! I went in for photo paper, and neosporin!! Whatever! After I went to the grocery store, luckily they have one of those kid play places. So mommies can shop without help, but I still forgot something and had to run back to get it! Now, I have to fix dinner, and I am beat! Wish I had a maid.....Thanks for letting me spill. As you can tell this is much more fun than making dinner.....
Do you ever wander in Walmart?

How can you go into Walmart and NOT wander? DH went in to pick up his Meds on Friday and he was there for over an hour. He came strolling in at 7:30 and I asked him where he was and he started laughing and said "Walmart....you can't just run in and out of that place".
So I totally get it. LOL.....so, what's for dinner?

No Walmart here in Okinawa. But I know what you mean!! They do however have these huge 100 yen stores, similar to the dollar store, but with much more and better quality stuff. I went into one yesterday and am not sure how long I wandered...........but at least an hour!! Yep, much more fun than making dinner or cleaning house!!

Heck, I can wander in the grocery store! DH designs his list so the items are in the order he follows once in the store. I have my items on my list in any order, and I like to grab a cart and head down the isles to see what I can see. I can easily be in there an hour.
And office supply stores or Target? Trouble with a capital T.

I love wandering walmart. We have one of the biggest in the country(square footage wise), it was the highest grossing at one point too. It's fun to window shop there. I can't let hubby go by himself though, I send him for bread and milk and he comes home 40 dollars more than I was expecting! He does that at the grocery store too!

I don't dare wander at my the Walmart out here. The last time I was there, a fight almost broke out in line. One guy got pushed into me - he said he was sorry--but my DH said "We are never shopping here again!"
We stick to Target.

Italy doesn't have Walmart - or anything close to it!
However, when we were back in WA I RARELY went to Walmart - I'm one of those that believes they don't really do all they say they're doing to help people out and make things "right". Just my opinion. But my mom loves to go to the Walmart by where we used to live so about 2 times a year we would take her. And she can WANDER! lol Wandering is SOOO expensive!

Alright, I totally wander at Walmart. In fact, just did so twice last week... I DO like Target better, I don't know why. How about Linens N' Things or Bed, Bath, and Beyond? I mean, I barely ever LOOK at the clerk when I'm checking out because I'm too busy seeing if I missed anything on their counter displays.
But the place which REALLY gets me wandering is IKEA - I can never get out of there in under 2 hours, and it's not just because I had to park in the next township, either.

Okay, so I finally did make dinner, it was chicken pot pie (from scratch--yeah for me!) but it wasn't ready until 7:30pm! Yeah, my kid's bedtime, but at least it was good and healthy!!
Truth be told I have only been to IKEA once, my whole family went and my kids weren't checked into the child care place and hubby HATES to shop. Yeah, what a pleasant experience that was.....when my kids start school you can better believe I have a shopping trip plan for there!Posted 1 year ago # -
Eek! My husband is pretty darned patient, even with IKEA (he would probably say, "anything is better than a fabric store..."), but I think if I had to drag my kids around and keep entertained... Well, it would be more like a 10 minute trip!

My family loves IKEA! We only make it there twice a year but it is always a fun trip! We always stop in the middle for ice cream!

Funny - we always stop in the middle for lunch: DH gets Swedish Meatballs and I get the Veggie Lasagna.

I wish we had an IKEA around here! The closest one is 4 hours away. I love their furniture!
And as far as WalMart.. I can never seem to get in and out of there in less than an hour!

I LOVE IKEA!!! And we have one about 40 min away from us! They have a few different things than I've ever seen in North America and I love that! A group of moms here get together and go once in a while! Fun and Dangerous (for the wallet! lol)

I don't shop at Walmart...but I could wander around Target for HOURS on end, and never get bored looking. They have some of the best home decor items, for a good price too!

I totally have that problem in Target, too... In fact, I can spend quite a bit of time in that little $1 and under place they have right by the cart when you come in!

I haven't been in a walmart in a long time. Target is less then 5 min away so we wander target. LOL I agree with you Lea. The home decor items are amazing and the price is right. lol

Pretty much all of the home decor in my house is from Target...and I got it all on clearance. They have some of the BEST clearance prices! They want it out of the store...so they slash prices quickly! Love it!
