Ok, so I was a den leader for cub scouts since my son turned 8 in NOv. 06. It was all good then I was getting busy, really stressed, having weekly breakdowns due to stress and everything so in Feb of this year I asked to be released. (Scouts is done as part of our church organization for most of the scouts in our state) anyways, I asked to no longer be a den leader. I ended up being in until July cuz that's when they finally found someone to replace me. Well, now, ugh...his new leaders are fustrating me. Saturday was the big Cub Scout Daycamp. Leaders were supposed to pick the boys up and take them. 10 minutes before it was supposed to start another mom called me wondering the same thing..."where are the leaders?" So she ended up taking my son and I ended up taking them home but it was ridiculous, the 2 main leaders are twin sisters who went out of town and it's so out of character for them to not take care of this. I would have gladdly gone with them if I had even a 24 hour notice. So I ended up shrugging it off, the boys went, had a good time and that was that. Well, I took my son to his regular den meeting today and waited 20 minutes for any leader to show up (right now there are 5!) and no one showed up! So I called and found out that they cancelled it because the church was supposed to be closed but it wasn't. So I had to take another boy to his mom at the high school and make sure the other boy and his dad that was waiting knew was was going on. It's so fustrating because when I was leader I would make sure others knew when there was and wasn't scouts. This is twice that we could have been informed and no one bothered to call us. He's got 3 den leaders right now, you'd think someone would know what was going on!
So frustrating...
