My daughter really likes necklaces and she has a difficult time when I ask her to take them off. She want to wear them to bed. It worries me to let her wear a necklace to bed. However her daddy doesn't think its a big deal. So what do you guys think? Am I being paranoid? Do you wear necklaces to sleep? Do you let your kids wear them to sleep?

I don't have any jewelry that I were 24/7 --- but dh has a gold chain that he never takes off and my daughter never takes her's off ---but she's 18. If it's a really long necklace and there is lots of extra room around her neck --- I think I would take it off.
What if you made something together that was special - just for her that she could put it on every night? Maybe even just a cute hook on her headboard or something?
Both of my girls love their jewelry, and they both sleep with it on. I could never do that, I'd feel like I was being strangled. I agree with Kim, if it's long, I'd definately take it off. My girls are older, so not really an issue.
I agree with the other girls if they are older I wouldn't be so concerned but I have a 6 yr old and we bought her cute little wire frame of like a dress on a stand we got ours at Hobby Lobby here but they have them at different places and she puts all her jewelry on it. We made it kind of a big deal to dress up the stand and we makes jokes about how fancy it looks. That kind of stuff but I would be a little worried too. I don't think you are paranoid.
Thats all good advice. She has a drawer in the bathroom for her jewelry but maybe something special and decorative in her room would be something she'd be excited about putting her necklaces on. Now to come up with something. Thanks for all your advice.
I'm paranoid about my kids sleeping with anything around their necks but they're younger. My sister had her DS (even when he was very young) wear a short necklace all the time. I thought she was crazy but they never had a problem so who am I to say anything?
How about having her put it on a doll or stuffed animal for safe keeping at night?
