So...a bit ago I splurged on a great deal and bought myself an early birthday present...a Nikon D5000....I LOVE my new camera. All my pictures are soooo much better now that I have this thing... it's still a thing to me though... I start classes next week so I can learn how to use it...here are the classes (they were included with my camera purchase):

Intro to Digital
Organize, Print, Share
Digital Photography 1
Digital Photography 2
Light inside and out
Quality Lighting

I am so excited to have hands on instruction with my new camera and to really have a chance to have someone help me to take my photography to the next level...I am pumped!!!

Sounds like a GREAT camera! I am actually going to take some photography classes this fall at the local community college (continuing ed.) I also have some classes to go to where I bought my camera. I'd love to hear how your classes go!

Congrats on the Nikon! I was able to get a D40 a couple of years ago. I only took one of the classes though. I have learned a lot by visiting online sites and just general playing around with the settings. I am sure if I took the classes I would learn so much more.

I'm glad you get some classes. I still have no idea how to use mine. My best friend was here today, she has the same one, and doesn't know how to use it either. I need to find us some sort of class to take. Congrats!

Congrats on your new camera. I had a D70 and then upgraded to a D90 at the beginning of the year and LOVE it. You'll have so much fun.
