My big fall scrap retreat is coming up in October and I am starting to figure out how to plan for it! Now that I have a scrap room and everything is put away, it is so hard to pack to leave for a week. ANyone have any good tricks for packing for crops?
I have tried to preplan my pages, but I am not really that kind of scrapper ---so I really feel like I need to bring my whole room!
Sorry to say, I have no good technique for this as well. I usually just bring most of my room. It's kind of funny when I go to crops my room looks like when the Grinch stole Christmas and he emptied their houses. Anyway a lot of my stuff I will leave in the car until I need it. That way I'm not taking up too much room.
Even when we had LSS around here I didn't go to crops often because I felt like I was spending more time organizing to pack than actually scrapping there. Even when I would preplan the pages, I would still feel like I was missing something.
I seem to either bring everything or spend hours preplanning pages - making kits - and bring a whole bunch of embellies. Sorry I don't have wiser words

Well I am a page pre planner so I usually get my stuff together before hand otherwise I'm just socializing and not getting anything done.
I plan my pages, too. If I don't, I'm packing up the entire room, and that's just too much work. Sorry, Kim!
But I do have an idea -- you go ahead and pack everything you have, I'll help you unload and reload, then we'll both scrap out of the same stuff. 
hehehe---- I think everyone at the whole crop could scrap out of my load!

I don't really have anything to add that hasn't already been said. I make kits also and then bring universal type items that could be used for any layout. Wish I could be more helpful.
I usually take one of my stackable drawer systems. I put this at the end of my table and it's frees up table space 
I take some of my stamp sets, all of my Thickers, my most used inks, many of my stickers. I take cardstock and usually 3-4 sets of patterned paper. Then my tools and pens. Oh yeah, ribbons go in one drawer, and I also have a small drawer system with my buttons/brads/flowers.
I think working on a mini or themed album works well. You just need to gather the things that coordinate with you papers. Although, I tried that at your house, and I got nothing done. I'm think it's all about the socialization too!
I take stacked drawers too with papers, embellies, tools, pics and then go to have fun- I load the car down and then can go to car if need be...I find that we always share supplies so there is ever a need to go to car but I am like the more you bring the more fun/scrapping will be had by all...I love crops! Where are you going? Need me to come there and help you pack, then you can just take me with you??
I am bad about bringing 
everything because I never know what I want to use...I bring my recent favs..paper..punches,etc.
I used to pack everything because I am not a pre-planner. But after working at a LSS for over 6 years and watching other women bring in their whole cropping supply - usually enough to open their own store, I realized what I must look like. So, I am realistic in knowing that at an all day crop I won't complete more than 4 or so layouts. I pull the pics I want to do, match different papers (usually having at least 2 different choices for my each layout) & file them in my divided 12x12 carrier. All my brads, embelli's & such are in a small taot, and all my inks, tools & such fit into my tote.
Sorry Kim - I'm thinking you're just gonna have to break down & organize a little more this time. It does help if you are able to shop for things while you are cropping so that IF you don't have what you need, you can find it there!
Well--- I never preplan! I just don't know what I will want to do until I have it in front of me! So, I will just have to bring all my paper and then an assortment of embellis! hmmmmm.....
