your albums? There was a big writeup in a recent magazine about not stacking your albums on top of one another... I have mine standing up... there have been all types of stories about dust getting inside the page protectors... I haven't had any dust issues, but the floor in that room where they are is wood, so I don't have carpet fibers in there to deal with...

I store mine stacked on top of each other lying down, but I use baybox albums so the weight of the albums on top of each other doesn't squish down the pages inside. I know if you use postbound or soft sided albums that the weight of the albums on top can press the pages of the albums underneath together and make indentations in the pages that you can't get rid of.

I did have issues with dust when I used three rings binders because I kept the albums on a bookshelf and no matter how often I dusted it didn't matter. Now in addition to using the bayboxes, I also keep my albums in a storage unit that has doors on it.

i only have 4 12x12 albums, it has separate boxes but i still keep it standing up. i think laying them flat will still make indentations or marks esp if your layouts are embellishment-heavy(most of mine are).. my mini albums though are in a big box, lined up with each other, and in the living room so people can look and "appreciate" 'em hehehe i keep an eye on how they open and scrutinize my minis lol!! they should have clean hands ;D hahaha

I've got this really cute basket they fit in. It looks like a wagon and it was meant for magazines, but my albums fit so good that's what I use it for!

Right now mine are stacked. I need a solution for this. Right now mine are in a mixture of post bound, strap bound and D-ring. I'd love to put them all in the bay box albums but they are so expensive. And how crazy is it that NONE of my 2008 pages are in albums yet!! I have such a massive stack!

Leah, I know how you feel! I never thought I'd be that person that doesn't put them away and I would hear about how people had stacks and stacks of layouts that they haven't gotten around to putting in their albums yet and I would think to myself that it was just laziness but it isn't! It's TIME. I have probably 40 or 50 layouts that I haven't filed yet, plus another 30 at the LSS from DT work to pick up and bring home.

I store mine vertically on a bookshelf, and I don't notice dust problems at this time. However, I'm not a good duster (hate it), and so if there is an issue, I'm sure I'll have it!
