Hi, I'm Gwen and I am a military wife living in Okinawa, Japan. We will be here almost two more years, and then DH can retire from the military. We have been married almost 23 1/2 years and have three children. Two girls, 22 and 19, and one boy who turned 17 on the 1st. I also have a 4 month old grandson, Connor. I absolutely love living in Japan, and love the colorful culture here in Okinawa. Get me talking about Okinawa, and you can't get me to shut up! I enjoy scrapping, sewing, baking, reading and have recently gotten into gardening.

Hey, Gwen - been meaning to tell you: A friend of ours who used to go to our church (like 10 years ago) just showed up at church last week. Her DH is in the Airforce, and they were visiting family in Seattle because they were moving to OKINAWA!! How about that!? So, has your base just recently gotten a new chaplin with a red-headed wife and three little kiddos? If so, tell them "Krista says hi".

OK....you made me cry.......are you happy??? Watching the kids and their Dads brings back so many memories. Kids sleeping with Daddy's picture under their pillow etc.
