We all have different ways to get inspiration for our layouts, cards and projects... One way I get inspiration is I take my camera along for a ride to town etc. At stop signs or lights I take photos of buildings down the road etc. I usually take about 20 to 30 photos. There is usually something that stands out in each photo. Either a color combo, a sign etc. So I want you to go out and take some photos the next time you run your errands and pick just ONE photo that has something that inspires you to do a layout. Load up the photo and the layout. The photo that inspired you to do a layout doesn't have to be on the layout although I bet you will scrap these photos. hehe

Here is a photo that I took that actually hangs in my scrap room because it's so full of inspiration and meaning for me.

Wow, Elisa! That's amazing. Will you share more about your process? Why did you take this photo? What did you see when you looked at it? Was it an old building with graffiti?

When we go home to visit. We always take a trip into Chicago to see the sites etc. Visit some friends and all that fun stuff. This photo was taken not to far from Michigan Ave. An old building that had been Graffiti over and over and over again with parts of it flacking off etc. I just thought it was so cool how all the different graffiti new and old went together so well and how cool the effect of time, weather etc had on it with it flaking and peeling etc. I often find myself just staring at the photo. It is so full of inspiration.

Okay, Elisa, yours was the only challenge I did not get completed this month, try as I might. Even though I didn't get it done, you've made me more aware of my surroundings. For instance, on our drive today, we took several pictures that I wouldn't have taken before -- like a weathered metal building, and graffetti on railroad cars, and rows of blooming flowers, and this sign that said "welcome to big bottom country". Thank you! I needed that.

Me too..............I didn't get this done, but my way of thinking when taking photos has changed a bit. I am intrigued by the way that photo inspired your layout, and it's a beautiful layout. It shows we can get inspiration from anywhere if we just look for it!! And somewhere along the line...........I am going to do this challenge!! It just won't be in time for this month.

I agree. I didn't get a chance to do this one, but I have been looking more at things looking for inspiration for LO's. Thanks for the idea and when I find something and a LO I will share it!

I am sooooooo glad that yall have started taking other pictures that aren't the norm. There is so much inspiration out there you just have to look through the view finder to find it.
