Do you plan out your house projects, or just jump right in?

I like to plan and my dh is just a jump in kind of guy...thus he is upstairs getting ready to redo my oldest dd's bedroom... so yesterday I had to clear out most of her stuff...decide on colors, and take everything off the walls...whew! So when we're all done she'll have a room that is mostly white on the top, but the chair rail will be the darker pink from Sleepy Beauty's gown, and the wainscoting will be the lighter pink from her gown... it was easy to decide on a color if we stuck to a character that we had a LOT of in her room already!!

I am assuming at some point he'll head out to get supplies....but thus far he's just been standing in there looking at the space...

LOL! I'm definitely a planner - but then again the one time I redid a room (when I was prego and DH was in Japan on business) I did all the planning at the store! LOL It turned out great and I love that room! And of course the project grew as we (my mom and I) went along - first it was paint - then paint the ceiling too - then new base board, new light fixture, new outlet and light switch covers - oh heck - tear out the old carpet and put in laminate!!! LOL Poor DH didn't have a clue what he had walked into when he got home! (As he had to help with the final few things! LOL)

I totally plan everything out! I research online.... browse at stores... I always take my time and know exactly what I want and what it will cost before I dive in!

I jump right in----I have been known to get out the crowbar and take off trim and break trough walls and then my dh comes home and says, "hmmm, looks like it is time to remodel!"

I'm a planner for most things - sometimes I decide on the spur of the moment to actually do it, but I always have it planned out first

I am a planner. Unfortunately my husband is too busy to follow through, so nothing much gets done.:(

I'm the planner, but if my hubby isn't there to be the motivator then things don't get done. Our problem is he needs to be home. Most of you know he's a truck driver and only home a few days a week. This time however he has been gone 11 nights. I miss him. Good thing he's going to be home tomorrow til Tuesday. We've got some projects to do that I"m way excited about...I'm getting new couches! (well new to me, but they are in new condition and free so I'm happy!)
