Miranda came home from school on Friday with a bad sore throat so I took her to the doctors right away. Thank goodness they had an appointment. Anyway she doesn't have strep thank goodness but has a very icky infection which I was surprised it wasn't strep or mono... anyway the doctor said that she should not talk for about a week.. HEHE omg someone out there really loves me. LOL He wrote us up a good ole prescription for a z pack and a note for school... I bet the teachers will love the note. LOL Anyway it's funny how quieter my house is with just one person not talking. LOL She has been walking around the house with a note pad and pen all weekend. She's doing great with the no talking which I'm surprised because Miranda loves to talk talk talk. LOL
Miranda can't talk.... LOL

OMG!!! I remember once instead of grounding me my mom condemned me to a punishment of one week with no complaining! LOL You have it even better with Miranda and she didn't even do anything to be punished! Poor Miranda! I could NEVER go a week with my mouth closed! You'll definitely have to get a pick of her note pad and scrap this for sure!!!!

That's weird how that particular infection is running it's course all over the US! I had it last month, and yep, couldn't talk for about a week!

Poor kid. I lost my voice one year and went to the doctor and he basically told me don't talk and it'll get better. I was miserable cuz I was still in high school!

I had nodules on my vocal cords once and had to go 6 weeks of vocal rest... it was misrable! But I'm sure my family enjoyed it!!

i remember, we used to do this kind of game when i was still in grade school..me and my girlfriends, whoever opens her mouth and speak even a single letter will be fined lol!! they never got anything from me hehe

Poor kid-lucky you! That has got to be SOOO hard for her! Guess she is lucky that there is text messaging otherwise...well a teenager and NO communication with friends! YIKES!!

yeah well she woke up this morning and realized she could start talking again today and went on and on and on... talked my ear off while I french braided her hair... I just giggled. I hardly understood it all as she talked so fast. LOL
