After putting in MANY hours sorting, perging and cleaning my scrap area I've come a stand still at the point that I've come to it some many times before. I bet you know where I'm at...the point where almost everything has been put with its friends and in it's proper home, except for that pile of awkward odds and ends that just don't seem to belong, yet they're too meaningful or needed to get rid of: the patterned paper that doesn't belong to anything else, a few embellies that have no mates, the half finished cards (that I truly intend on finishing), the altered project - yet to be started - that doesn't fit in the storage box where it belongs etc. This pile is too large for my liking and whenever I seem to get to this point I just leave it and then it begins to multiply! Please help me get rid of the dreaded pile! What do you do with your odds and ends? How do you store them? Or, just give me a verbal kick in the butt! lol
Motivate Me! Please!!!!

wow! I don't know! I just usually shove them in a drawer so I can feel better~!

I put all that sort of stuff in a cropping bag and if I don't use it in 6 months, out it goes.

Good idea Marci! Maybe it will all go in a separate bag to Italy and if it's still in the bag at the end of our six months it will stay when we leave!

Will you really use your odds and ends? If so, find a container (a clear bag maybe?), contain them, and put them with your other embellies. I don't know how you store your paper, but is there a way to add a miscellaneous folder or drawer that you check regularly? That's where I'd put the paper.
No if you won't use them, I bet you can donate them somewhere.
Of course, I also like the Italy idea!

Okay, this may sound weird, but... ask you husband or other guy. They probably don't care one lick about scrapbooking (except, of course, to be oh-so-supportive of you!), and that is the beauty of it! They are totally objective. I do this all the time - such as filing paper: it's multicolored, so where to I file it? Blue or Red or Purple? I ask Jeff, "quick - what color stands out to you here?" and he usually says, "Purple" or whatever right away.
Just a thought. If that doesn't work, I recommend that you take me to Italy with you.

LOL! I've made a little more progress. I've resigned to the fact that I need to create a (SMALL) box for odds and ends. I'm still working on it! Hopefully I'll have it done so I can actually scrap a bit before I go to Italy!
