Do you have any tips to share when designing the word albums? For instance, do you cover the last page first? What type of glue did you use?

I used Mod Podge to adhere everything to mine. I just chose which PP I wanted for each letter, traced it, cut it out and adhered it to the chipboard. Then I just went crazy with photos and embellishments!!!

These albums are such a great gift idea for your Valentine! I can't believe they come in the kit! What a great value! Thanks Sherry & Brenna!

Okay - I am SO glad you asked this! I'm planning to do this for my DH for Valentine's, but I feel so clumsy when working with paper, since I've been doing the digital thing all this time! It's like I forgot how to use scissors!!

I used Zipdry. I covered L first and worked my way through the alphabet. I traced around it then used an exacto knife for a clean cut. Make sure that you punch your holes after you cover the first side, but before you cover the other side or you won't know exactly where to put them and they may not line up perfectly.

my friends loved what i did with mine!
i used my usual adhesive. traced and cut out the patterns (dont forget the holes). adhered and sanded/inked the edges for a distress look. placed the photos and designed with embellies and ribbons. its really easy!

Thanks, Donna! I got my paper adhered this past weekend (during Super Bowl) and I was just wondering how you guys dealt with the cardboard edges that show. Cool!

I traced and cut and then sanded the edges with an emery board. Then added chalk ink! I used mono glue! Works Perfect!

Ok, more questions: What do you use to stick the photos on there? Hopefully you can recommend something I already own, since I'm trying to finish it today. modge podge, tacky glue, glue stick, Elmer's, 3M double-stick tape... I also have the Creative Memories thingee, which is a wheel that spits out teeny tiny white adhesive strips. I'll use this in a pinch, but I'd like something more secure if possible, since I don't really want the corners of the pics to lift... Any thoughts? What is mono glue?

Just use a regular glue stick or the double sided tape. It won't take much. mono glue is very similar to elmers glue but a little stronger. Elmers glue isn't archival.

I am a liquid mono glue girl! I love to put a small string of glue around the edges and then"squish" it out to the edge when I put the paper on. It holds great and keeps the paper from lifting at the edges.
